FAQ's

How far in advance should I book?

It is recommended to book your facepaint or makeup appointment as early as possible, especially for special events or peak seasons. We advise booking at least 2 months in advance to secure your desired date and time.

How long does a facepaint or makeup session typically take?

Facepainting duration can vary depending on the desired look or design. However, we usually paint between 8-12 faces per hour for standard designs and 15-20 faces for quick designs.

Makeup generally will take 1 hour with the exception for brides where we allow an extra 30-45 mins for changes or finishing touches.

What kind of products do you use?

Our paint is dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic meaning it is free from as many allergens as possible. It is non-Toxic and complies with EU and US FDA cosmetic regulations. In most cases the paint is completely safe however there may be the rare occasion where a child is hyper-sensitive where it is possible for the skin to react. If you know your child has skin sensitivity we suggest, as an alternative, a design on the hand/ arm where the skin is less fragile. If in doubt it is best to refrain from participating.
Our makeup kit consists of industry standard products that are safe for most, however we do ask that if you have any skin conditions or sensitivities to let us know during your consultation so we can take appropriate precautions.

Can your paint be removed easily?
Yes! With a little soapy water and a flannel the paint will come right off. Sometimes there may be a little residual staining but this is temporary and will fade with another wash or two.

Do you offer special effects or themed makeup services?

Yes! We classify this as a custom design. Whether you need theatrical makeup, fantasy makeup, or any other specialized look, our artist will work with you to bring your vision to life.

Is there anyone you won't paint?
Although we don't discriminate, we cannot paint children who are visibly unwell. Runny noses and coughs pose a risk not only to the artist but the other children, as well as tools which can become contaminated. We ask that parents be aware of the condition of their child before putting our artist in a position where they may have to refuse service. Similarly we cannot paint any child who has open sores or wounds.

When is payment expected?

Payment is required within one week of receiving an invoice. This includes your 50% non-refundable deposit and secures your date and time. If this isn't paid then your booking is NOT secure and can be given to another client.
